Joyitas Val is a jewelry brand founded by the multidisciplinary artist and graphic designer Valeria Vargas in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her work is a constant reflection on the imperfection of the handmade.

"I work with jewelry, sculpture, video, illustration, and installation. My current field of interest is the technical and creative research of jewelry as a form of expression, without forgetting its magical defensive effects (apotropaic power) and its ornamental purpose. My poetic exploration is in the post-craft realm, drawing inspiration from the history and various forms of ornamentation. Part of my research is discovering how to translate my drawings into metal, sometimes in the form of a tender bestiary, sometimes in the form of magical amulets."
